Most fraction pizza games stop at naming the fraction: here is a pizza with 3 of 8 slices topped, what fraction is that? This one goes a step further, because naming a fraction and producing one are different skills. In this pizza shop the order and the pizza never agree. A customer asks for pineapple on 3/4 of the pizza, and the pizza sitting on the counter is cut into 8 slices. Nothing on the screen tells you that 3/4 means 6 slices. You have to get there yourself, and the only way there is an equivalent fraction.
That is the move children usually meet as a rule to memorise: multiply the top and the bottom by the same number. Here the rule has an obvious job. The pizza has been cut twice as fine as the order, so every part of the order splits in two, which is why the numerator doubles along with the denominator. Get it wrong and the order comes back with the two fractions written side by side, so the mistake is readable instead of just being marked wrong, and you can retry the same order rather than losing it. Three difficulty levels control which denominators show up and how much finer the pizza is cut, from easy halves and thirds up to eighths cut into 32 slices. Score, streak, and an end-of-shift summary keep the drill moving.
The order says 2/3. The pizza is cut into 6 slices. Since 6 is 3 doubled, multiply the top of the fraction by 2 as well: 2 × 2 = 4. So 2/3 = 4/6, and the right serve is 4 topped slices.

Checking a serve the way the game does
Cross multiply instead of guessing. For 2/3 and 4/6: 2 × 6 = 12 and 4 × 3 = 12. The two products match, so the fractions are equal and the order is filled. Top 3 slices instead and you get 2 × 6 = 12 against 3 × 3 = 9, which do not match, so 3/6 is not 2/3.
